Top Performances at Penn State’s Blue-White Game Have Fans Excited for the Season

April 18, 2023 by CFB Report Leave a Comment

Penn State football held its Blue-White game on Saturday, with early enrollee outside linebacker Tony Rojas stealing the show. Rojas made several big plays, and his performance has fans excited about his future with the team.

Meanwhile, quarterback Drew Allar demonstrated his improvisational skills, which could serve him well in live game action. Allar had a slow start to the game, but soon found his footing and impressed with his pocket presence.

Omari Evans may have separated himself from the pack in the battle for playing time among the wide receiver group. Evans made several key catches during the game and looked like a potential standout for the team.

Defensive end Dani Dennis-Sutton looked like Penn State’s next elite pass rusher, showcasing the results of his offseason progress during the game. Safety Kevin Winston Jr. also made plays all over the field and could be a key contributor for the team’s secondary.

While there were several standouts during the game, there were also areas that will need some fine-tuning before the start of the season. The running game and punting were two such areas, and the team will need to work on improving in these areas in the coming weeks.

Overall, Penn State fans have reason to be optimistic after the team’s Blue-White game. While there is still work to be done before the start of the season, the team looks poised to make some noise in the upcoming campaign.
