Michigan tight end Luke Schoonmaker has visited with six different NFL teams ahead of the 2023 NFL Draft, including the San Francisco 49ers, who hold three picks at the end of the third round. Schoonmaker’s agent, Joe Linta, also his former coach, said the consensus is that Schoonmaker will be drafted in the third or fourth round, although surprises are common in the draft process. Schoonmaker, who increased his weight by 30 pounds during his time at Michigan, said playing at the high level for five years developed him into a stronger player, and he credits his success to his hard work and belief in himself. During his productive senior season, Schoonmaker pulled in 35 passes for 418 yards and three touchdowns, and he was named to the All-Big Ten third team.
