Ohio State’s recruiting class of 2022 on defense, with two five-star and eight four-star prospects, showed its talent during the spring game at Ohio Stadium. C.J. Hicks and Sonny Styles, both projected as future stars, showed their skills on the field, with Hicks playing the most snaps and Styles’ versatility on display. Several other second-year defenders had standout performances, including Gabe Powers, Hero Kanu, Kenyatta Jackson, Caden Curry, Ryan Turner, Jyaire Brown, Davison Igbinosun, and Kye Stokes. While the path to playing substantial snaps this fall is less clear for some of them, their future as Buckeyes over the next two to four years appears bright.
