The father of a deceased University of Georgia football player is seeking $2 million from the university in a potentially explosive civil action over a fatal car crash that has shaken the school’s football programme. Lawyers for Dave Willock, the father of Devin Willock, blame the crash on a lack of oversight by team officials, particularly recruiting analyst Chandler LeCroy, who also died in the crash. They say prospective recruits were at an Athens strip club with Devin Willock, LeCroy and other players on the night of the crash, potentially violating NCAA rules. They also allege that LeCroy was served alcohol at UGA Athletic Association events while she was assigned to ferry recruits and their families around Athens in a luxury SUV rented by the university. The university denies the allegations.
