The Colorado Buffaloes football team’s spring game, with Deion Sanders at the helm as the new head coach, attracted an impressive average of 551,000 viewers on ESPN, making it the second-largest audience for any spring game in seven years, according to Sports Media Watch. While ESPN aired almost three dozen spring games across its platforms, the Buffaloes were the only ones to be featured on the main ESPN channel. With these figures, it remains to be seen if the network will continue to air the team’s games prominently this fall and if this will continue to pay off with viewership.
