
The University of Oklahoma is tied with Georgia, Notre Dame, and Southern Cal for the most players selected first overall in the NFL Draft, with five. They include Lee Roy Selmon, who joined the NFL in 1976 and played nine seasons; Billy Sims, who played five seasons in the NFL; Sam Bradford, who played nine seasons in the NFL; Baker Mayfield, who was selected by Cleveland Browns in the 2018 NFL Draft and then traded to the Los Angeles Rams in 2022 where he led his team to a 98-yard game-winning drive against the Las Vegas Raiders on Thursday Football and Kyler Murray, who was selected by the Arizona Cardinals in the 2019 NFL Draft and is a two-time Pro Bowl player.
