Former Tennessee defensive lineman Amari McNeill has announced that he will transfer to the University of Colorado and play for Deion Sanders in 2023. McNeill played in six games for the Volunteers between 2021 and 2022, recording three total tackles and one pass deflection. While McNeill began his college career as a 3-star offensive tackle for Peachtree Ridge in Sewanee, Georgia, he will join the Buffaloes as a defensive player, and at 6-foot-4 and 285 pounds his size could prove useful for the team. Colorado will be trying to improve after last year’s struggles, as the program recorded a difficult 1-11 record, while Tennessee achieved an 11-win season, its best performance since 2001.
