Unlocking the secrets to predicting successful NFL quarterbacks

The NFL Draft generates around 45 trillion words of content about quarterbacks each year. These quarterbacks are crucial for franchises looking to win a Super Bowl, but predicting which college quarterbacks will succeed in the NFL is difficult. A possible method for identifying NFL success includes analyzing statistical performance in specific situations such as against top-50 defenses, passes in third- and fourth-down situations, and in the red zone. Only two quarterbacks with scores below their class average have gone on to have successful NFL careers: Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson. The 2023 draft class rankings suggest that Bryce Young and C.J. Stroud are the top two quarterbacks, although their overall scores rank only 26th all-time.
