A promising addition to the team with Jalil Smith joining the defensive line. Spring practices have commenced at the Ensley Athletic Center on March 23, 2023.

Smith, a redshirt freshman at Syracuse, recently shared on social media his decision to re-enter his name into the transfer portal.

He appeared in just one game for the Orange last season, making him one of the four Syracuse players who have either announced plans to transfer or entered the transfer portal in the past week.

The most notable player among this group was backup running back Jawaun Price.
