Exciting Visits from Standout Washington Players as Ole Miss Looks to Strengthen Roster
Ole Miss is buzzing with excitement as several players visit Oxford today. Coach Lane Kiffin is determined to strengthen his team with more talent before spring practice begins.
Although Ole Miss already has a highly talked about roster in college football, Kiffin continues to search for commitments from the transfer portal. This week, the team has the opportunity to secure additional commitments from players visiting from Washington.
The Washington Huskies offensive line recently received the prestigious Joe Moore Award, beating out strong contenders such as Oregon, LSU, and Georgia. Two of their standout linemen, Julius Buelow and Nate Kalepo, are among the players visiting Ole Miss today.
Buelow appeared in the final nine games for the Huskies, while Kalepo played in all 15. Despite their struggles against Michigan in the National Championship Game, both linemen have shown great skill in pass protection and run blocking.
Rebel fans are hopeful that at least one of these offensive linemen will decide to commit to the team. With all the exciting commitments already secured, concerns remain about quarterback Jaxson Dart's protection.
Another player visiting from Washington is defensive lineman B.J. Green. Green had previously committed to the Huskies but entered the transfer portal in December after representing Arizona State.
With the progress being made through the transfer portal and the return of key starters, the media is predicting a big season for Ole Miss in 2024. However, Coach Lane Kiffin believes there is still more work to be done and is eager to add more talent to the team's growing roster.
