Jim Harbaugh Gets Tattoo Celebrating Michigan Wolverines' National Championship & Perfect Season
Jim Harbaugh made good on his promise to his Michigan Wolverines players by getting a tattoo celebrating their national championship and perfect season. Harbaugh proudly displayed his new ink, showcasing the Michigan "M" and "15-0" on his right arm. Team chaplain Robby Emery shared a photo of the finished tattoo on social media.
After Michigan's victory in the College Football Playoff Championship Game, Harbaugh revealed to reporters his pledge to get a tattoo if the team went 15-0. The tattoo not only commemorates the historic season but also includes the Roman numeral for 1,000, symbolizing Michigan's milestone as the first college football program to reach 1,000 wins.
Despite missing a game due to a suspension related to an alleged sign-stealing scandal, Harbaugh led Michigan to its first national title since 1997. The team's 15 wins in a single season set a new program record, surpassing the previous mark of 13 victories.
Shortly after the championship season, Harbaugh departed Michigan to join the Los Angeles Chargers as their new head coach, marking his return to the NFL. His successful tenure at Michigan, which included three Big Ten titles and a national championship, solidified his legacy as a respected coach in collegiate football.
