Top Notre Dame Football Prospect Joe Alt Stuns NFL Scouts at Pro Day

On March 21, all eyes will be on South Bend as Notre Dame Football holds its Pro Day. One of the players to watch is offensive tackle Joe Alt, who is projected to be a top-10 pick in the NFL Draft. The event will be streamed on Peacock from the Irish Athletic Center.

During Pro Day, Notre Dame's NFL hopefuls will showcase their skills in front of scouts and executives from all 32 teams. They will go through various drills, such as the bench press, 40-yard dash, vertical jump, broad jump, three-cone drill, and shuttle drill.

Eight Notre Dame players have also received invites to the NFL Scouting Combine, where they will have the opportunity to meet with teams and participate in additional drills. These players include quarterback Sam Hartman, running back Audric Estimé, offensive tackles Joe Alt and Blake Fisher, defensive end Javontae Jean-Baptiste, linebackers JD Bertrand and Marist Liufau, and cornerback Cam Hart.

Five players whose eligibility has expired did not receive Combine invites: nickel back Thomas Harper, safety DJ Brown, wide receiver Matt Salerno, kicker Spencer Shrader, and long snapper Michael Vinson. While not receiving an invite makes it more challenging to get drafted, the Pro Day will be their chance to impress NFL teams and potentially secure a spot on a training camp roster.

Highlighting the group is Joe Alt, who is expected to be the highest-drafted player from Notre Dame. He could potentially be the first offensive tackle off the board. Audric Estimé also has a good chance of being drafted on Day 2, while Blake Fisher, Cam Hart, and Marist Liufau are possible Day 2 picks as well. JD Bertrand, Javontae Jean-Baptiste, and Sam Hartman should be selected on Day 3.

It will be an exciting day for these Notre Dame players as they look to impress and make their dreams of playing in the NFL a reality. Stay tuned for more updates on their Pro Day performances and potential draft positions.
